| Q: |
Do you accept insurance plans? |
| A: |
We participate in many health insurance plans, as well
as Medicare and Medicaid. Our Director of Admissions, who specializes
in Medicare/Medicaid and insurance guidelines, will guide you through
the process, and will assist you in determining eligibility as well
as maximizing your benefits. |
|
| Q: |
Can I use my own physician while at Royal Suites? |
| A: |
Many area doctors are already attending physicians at
Royal Suites. If your doctor is not, he can apply to become an attending
physician. |
|
| Q: |
Is there a choice of menus at each meal? |
| A: |
Our chefs are aware that different people have different
food preferences, and always prepare more than one choice at each
meal. Additionally, each resident’s dietary needs and concerns
are assessed by our dietitian upon admission and accommodated accordingly. |
|
| Q: |
Do you need advance notice, or can I be admitted
immediately? |
| A: |
Although admissions are subject to bed availability,
we make every effort to expedite all requests. While we do appreciate
advance notification, we realize that in many situations it is not
possible. Ultimately it is the well being of the patient that is paramount. |
|
| Q: |
Are there always nurses on duty? |
| A: |
Definitely. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Holidays
as well. |
|
| Q: |
What are the visiting hours at Royal Suites? |
| A: |
Visiting hours are 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday
and 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. However, we do try to accommodate
special requests for off-hour visits. During off-hours, please ring
the bell at the employee entrance. |

call the receptionist at 609.748.9900. |

will direct your call. There is also a recorded prompt after hours. |
|
| Q: |
How do I know how much money my relative has
in a PNA (Personal Needs Account)? |
| A: |
The reception desk maintains a register of all PNA accounts.
Quarterly statements are mailed from our business office to all responsible
parties. |
|
| Q: |
How do I make an appointment with the beautician
for salon services? |
| A: |
Kindly call 609.748.9900 ext. 1731 and leave a message

services requested. You may also call Alicia Scaglione, Director of
Recreation at ext. 1727. Currently salon services are available on
Thursdays. Manicure service will also be provided every second Tuesday. |
|
| Q: |
May I join my relative at mealtime? |
| A: |
We encourage family and friends to enjoy lunch or dinner
with our residents. There is a nominal fee of $5.00 per meal, which
can be paid to our receptionist. Please notify us 24 hours in advance.
Enclosed is the Meal Reservation form, also available at the Reception
Desk. |
|
| Q: |
May I take my relative off the premises for
an outing? |
| A: |
Surely. However, since Royal Suites is mandated to have
a physician’s order, as well as possible family training and
ordering additional medication, we do need 72 hours advance notice.
Before taking your relative off-premises, please contact the resident’s
nurse who will have you sign the resident out. As an added security
measure, there is an additional sign out sheet at the reception desk. |
|
| Q: |
Where can a resident safely secure personal
valuables? |
| A: |
We recommend that residents do not bring valuables with
them to Royal Suites, as we cannot be responsible for personal items.
Money can be deposited in the resident’s Personal Needs Account
(PNA) at the Reception Desk. Upon request, we will install a keyed
lock for the drawer in the bedside night stand at no cost. |
